Platform Nine and Three Quarters

This post is part of our “On This Day: Our Grand Tour” series—revisiting each stop of our 3-month, 14-country adventure exactly three years later. Follow along and travel back in time with us!

We couldn’t pass through London without a stop at King’s Cross Station – because yes, we had to get photos at Platform 9¾.

The team there is amazing—they’ll toss the scarf, pose you just right, and snap the perfect magical moment. Totally worth the line (and the giggles)! We were in line with the cutest little Harry.

This Jack Black look-alike very graciously helps every family pose and get pics.

We even saw the Sword of Gryffindor at a nearby shop.

Semper Explorandum Tip: The photo is free if you use your own camera, but the professional pics are great quality—and make a fun souvenir if you’re willing to splurge! Go early or late in the day to avoid the longest waits.
