We got up early to get on the trail before the heat hit. Mom and Dad took a taxi later. The hike didn’t take as long as advised so we were up top and had the terraces all to ourselves for a while before Great Meteora opened.
The views are amazing, and we saw the supply cars working hard to cable supplies up.

We decided to visit one of the tiny towns in the Cinque Terre this afternoon while the crowds were insane in Vernazza.
We did the easy trail along the ocean…and then the hard trail up to the town. It was quiet and lovely – so interesting to walk the narrow streets and imagine what it’s like living up there!
