Riomaggiore is the first village you come to. It was very crowded, and while lovely, was the least charming in our opinion.

The village is known for its iconic multicolored houses that cling to the cliffside, creating a postcard-worthy sight. As you wander through the narrow streets, you’ll discover charming shops, cozy cafes, and inviting trattorias serving delicious local cuisine. Riomaggiore is also a gateway to the beautiful coastal trails that connect the Cinque Terre villages, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
