The water isn’t very warm this time of year, but once you take the plunge it’s crystal clear and refreshing!
The little cove here is very calm, the only waves come from the little bit of wake generated by the ferries (which come right on to the beach).
We can tell that the water is saltier than the Pacific – more buoyant and we can feel the coating of salt on our skin when we get out!
